How it works
Ten business days from a phone call to a live website.
No deposit, no discovery phase, no two-month timeline. Here is every step, and exactly what we need from you at each one.
01
Day 1
A 20 minute call, or a form
We ask what you sell, who buys it, which towns you work in, and what you want a visitor to do. That is the whole discovery process. There is no workshop and no strategy deck.
What we need from you: Your logo if you have one, your photos if you have them, and your hours. No logo and no photos is fine. Both have a price on the pricing page.
02
Days 2 to 7
We build the real thing
We write the pages, lay out the site, and put your photos in. You see it on a private link, working, on your phone. Not a picture of a website. The website.
What we need from you: Read it and tell us what is wrong. Wrong hours, wrong service names, a photo you hate. We change it.
03
Day 10
It goes live on your domain
We point your domain at the site, turn on the SSL certificate, submit it to Google, and set up the monitoring. If you do not have a domain we register one in your name.
What we need from you: Nothing. If the domain is registered somewhere else, we send you the two records to paste in, or we do it with you on a screen share.
04
Every month after
We keep it running
Hosting, updates, backups, monitoring, and your content edits. You email us the change and we do it. No ticket system, no hourly invoice, no deciding whether a change is worth the money.
What we need from you: Pay the monthly price. That is it.
Why rent at all
Three straight answers
It is the same reason you lease a truck
A truck is worth more to you working than it is sitting in your name. A website is the same. Renting turns a $3,000 decision into an $89 one, and the site stays looked after because someone is still being paid to look after it.
We are not cheaper because it is worse
We are cheaper because we build on a system we have already built, instead of starting from nothing every time. You get the finished quality of the system, not a custom design process billed to you by the hour.
Renting is wrong for some businesses
If you need a custom design nobody else has, a complex booking or membership system, or the files in your own hands, buy a website. We will tell you that on the call rather than sell you a plan that does not fit.
After launch
How an edit actually happens
You email the change. "New price list, it is attached." "We stopped doing gutters." "Add Chris to the team page."
We make the change and email you back when it is live. Starter gets one of these a month, Business gets four, Growth gets eight. An edit is one change to one page, however long it takes us.
If you run out, five more cost $59 a month, or wait for next month. We will never send you an invoice you did not agree to first.
Start with a call. Nothing is due.
Email hello@websiterental.ca or use the form. We reply within one business day.
